ROTK's Oscar Buzz and Jackson Talks The Hobbit

If you sniff hard enough you can actually smell the Oscar buzz coming from Peter Jackson?s The Return Of The King. Obviously director PETER JACKSON has made a series of movies that will be revered in the years to come, but - like what the New Zealand director is doing to KING KONG ? could one future filmmaker attempt to remake his classics?

Well according to ELIJAH WOOD, who frankly told REUTERS, "I don't think anybody would be brave enough or have the balls to remake this."

Wood plays the ring bearing hobbit, Frodo Baggins, who in the novels and movies goes beyond his personal strife to overcome pure evil. Although the actor portrays great inner strength, Wood admits to Reuters that he had a weak self-containment, when it came to a screening of the film.

"The first time I saw the last hour of the movie (The Return of The King) I was in hysterics, crying, sobbing ... It is sad that it's all kind of over but at the same time there is a real sense of accomplishment now."

But is it finished?

Director Peter Jackson told Reuters that if the rights to ?THE HOBBIT? can be sorted out that he would like to direct it.

"I'd be interested in doing it because I think it would give continuity to the overall chapter," Jackson said.

Jackson also reveals that actors Ian McKellen, Andy Serkis and Liv Tyler, whose characters are featured in ?The Hobbit? novel, could be back for the potential movie.
