Neo chose a different path than the other Neos, and became a higher being.  He gained his powers outside of the matrix in this manner...He is supposed to be like Jesus in this manner...he is a man but with powers outside of heaven.  I'm sure none of you missed the ending where he was taken away by the machines on what appeared to be a cross..thus dying for the human race.  The machines are binary in their thinking.  Morpheus alludes to this several times.   Neo held up his end of the bargain by destroying Smith, so the machines will free the rest of the people in the Matrix as stated by the Architect.  What happens to Neo?  No one knows, but it is my theory that he becomes a program like the Mirovingian...the Mirovingian may even be a prior 'one'....thoughts?
