'N Sync Officially in Star Wars: Episode II

I don't know if the urge to hunt George Lucas down and scalp him is healthy, but I think this time he's gone too far. We the fans were very merciful when he presented us with Jar Jar in Episode I and no one really dwelled on Howard the Duck but 'N Sync? What's next Brittany Spears? This is unforgivable.

A Lucasfilm spokeswoman confirmed [today] what Star Wars fan sites had been buzzing about for days, saying the fivesome will appear briefly in a "big scene."

The good news is that they will only be extras which means no talking (and heaven forbid singing). Be careful George, you'll still get people to watch this one but there can't be too many freebies left.
