aaahhhhh, i was hoping someone would respond in the way you did so i could further explain myself. if you have seen once upon a time in china then you would understand that kung fu movies for the most part are real fighting. minus of course all the flying around. the trick is to have two accomplished fighters battling it out. for every move there is a counter! say if i were an excellent fighter in kung fu and you were as well, we could fight for ever. as long as you had a counter for every move i had and i for every move you had. that is what kung fu is about, defend and counter. these movies are more realistic than you think. and like i said before, if you are a true martial artist you will not be bored with no high kicks, etc. because you can see each move and know what the artist is trying to do. a simple backfist or leg sweep can seem interesting as long as it is executed perfectly.
