Thats what documentries are for. There are some fantastic ones, that have covered the very topic of which we speak. Since no story, plot, or structure is required, they can focus on showing what the Arts are really about. Realistic fighting movies are boring, because realistic fighting is close quatered, and boring. Ever watched the UFC's, they're kind of fun, but don't expect anything more than grappling, or throat shots cause that's what it comes down to. I hear what your saying, but do not agree with it. If Bruce Lee had made a realistic martial arts movie, there would have been no Nunchucks, no high balanced kicks, or flying back strikes, and since realistic fights don't go longer than a few seconds, the movie would be pretty short. A GREAT movie requires all the hoopla.
