I think that it is stupid for most people here to comment on whether jet Li or jackie chan is better than one another. Being a martial artist myself, I've come to realise that we cannot judge their skill by watching them on the silver screen. For example, Jet Li uses many locks that are practical, and also uses practical wushu. Many say that the wushu he uses is too traditional, but this is not the case. In Kiss of the Dragon he used many practical locks once again, but also attacked his opponents legs more to disable them (tonfa scene). This is practical because it disables an opponent quickest as it destroys their base (legs). HOWEVER, jackie has also shown and proven to be a good fighter in movies. His chineese boxing was superb in Rush hour 2 and films such as Young Master show that his traditional work is also very good. People tend to go fdor Jet li more becuase jackie does not obviously use classical chinese martial arts in his hollywood films, but he actually does. To conclude, my point is that we should not judge an actors martial arts ability from his/her movies. The peking opera company trains in Martial arts very well, perhaps just as well as a wushu coach? (On a personal note, I like Jet li a little better, as I can relate to his martial arts more)
