I don't understand what Hines means when he says 'gore' comes with the story. I have read "War Of The Worlds" many  times, saw the 1953 classic, and all of the 'War' television series.  With the exception of the latter, there really wasn't  any gore.  Has modern man become so jaded that he can enjoy nothing without blood?  If we truely are a society that craves gore and guts for entertainment, how can we call ourselves and 'advanced and civilized society'?  Have we become as primitive as cro-magon in our tastes?
I think in a word, yes.
I hope this picture remains true to it's story, but upon reading this release, I have serious doubts.
