There's a lot of controversy on this board, and I'd like to post my opinion. Mason is a great artist, not just limiting him to music. I've seen paintings by him, and they are very good. His music is another VERY high point. I'm no freak, I'm not popular, i'm a christian, but not to the extreme as most of you think we are. In my point of view Wonka was a good character, at least in my childhood.I then watched the movie recently and saw it in a whole new light. It's about greed, gluttony, and all sorts of evils. Marilyn Manson is an exceptional choice to play Wonka, though the fun loving view of him from the original will be torn apart, and I don't mind. Manson reveals what Roald Dahl might have been implying when he wrote the book. And if you're going to insult me, don't waste the screen space, I don't read those little one liners that insult people because of their views on art, that's just childish!
