Dark Horizons has coverage of a set for The Last Samurai, starring Tom Cruise. The cricket ground at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth "is being turned into a Imperial Army Parade Ground, complete with multiple tents, 300 or so extras, 50 horses and canons." It's a very large, grassy area whose surroundings will be "replaced with a CG scene of a Tokyo street circa 1870."
