J.LO AND BEN: Burning in Jersey Girl

Take a look at pure dumb. ?Here's the trailer for the second film that this little known couple completed almost a year ago, Jersey Girl. ?When Gigli opened so badly this summer, studio executives had know idea what to do with this pic that was already under-performing in test screenings. ?Directed by Kevin Smith(see Clerks, Mallrats, and Chasing Amy), this film was rumored to be the director's first, real attempt at making a film that looked like a film and not a high school video shot on film. ?Go figure.

Will Ferrell's ELF Looking Damn Funny

A newer trailer for the Jon Favreau directed, Will Ferrell starring, ELF, is now available online. ?If you dig the boy-child genius of Ferrell's usual demeanor, check the soft deliveries of almost every line of his in this trailer. ?If he's able to maintain this shtick throughout the film and the story's able to support him, then this could be a nice big return to comedies that are actually funny. ?The film opens November 7th.

Weekend Top Ten Box Office Films

Vampires and werewolves ruled the weekend as Underworld debuted as the top weekend movie with $22 million. Leaving The Fighting Temptations at 2nd with $13.2 million and Secondhand Lions at No. 3 with $12.9 million.

WILL FERRELL, Woody Allen, and Steven Soderbergh

Will Ferrell is coming. ?In the past two weeks or so, Will Ferrell has landed two great roles in two upcoming films that will both add to his popularity and open up interesting doors for the comedian. ?Aside from the two new roles, Ferrell is now shooting the film "Anchorman," a film he co-wrote and is starring in. ?And from there it's off to New York to work with Woody Allen.

Weekend Top Ten Box Office Films

The third installment of the Robert Rodriguez penned and directed El Mariachi trilogy, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, shot up the box office over the weekend as it debuted with an impressive $24 million. Coming in at number 2 and 3 were two other debut films Matchstick Men and Cabin Fever.

Disney Resurrects S. Dali Project

In 1946, Walt Disney and Salvador Dali teamed up on a short film called Destino. The remnants of the aborted film include 150 storyboards, drawings and paintings, which have sat for the last half-century in the Disney vaults.  The newly produced 6-minute feature (some of which was modeled with Maya) will appear next year before a feature Disney film.

The world has lost to great entertainers today. Johnny Cash, music's legendary Man in Black died at early this morning. He was 71. John Ritter, star of the 70's hit TV sitcom Three's Company also died today of an undetected heart problem. He was 54.
