 Jack Black has been in cast in Peter Jackson's remake of "King Kong" for Universal Pictures. Jackson and Fran Walsh will produce the film under their WingNut Films banner. Black will play Carl Denham, an adventurous filmmaker and showman trying to make a name for himself in 1930s New York. Robert Armstrong played the role in the 1933 original.

 Character actor and Legend Sir Peter Ustinov, who won Academey Awards for for preformances in Kubrick's Spartacus and Topkapi, died Sunday night in Switzerland of heart failure; he was 82. The actor/writer, who was knighted in 1990, "had enough careers for about six other men." Though confined to a wheelchair later in his life, Ustinov continued to raise money for UNICEF and most recently appeared in the film Luther.

While promoting his comedic turn in the upcoming "Connie and Carla", Moviehole's Paul Fischer asked co-star David Duchovny whether the much-rumoured X-Files movie is likely to happen, and to everyone's surprise, he gave a resoundingly positive response. "It's definiely happening", the actor said. "Chris has a great idea for the new movie and I expect we'll be able to begin shooting in the next year or so."
