Once again, I've raided Netflix's vaults. This time in search of some artsy movies. I really enjoy foreign films. But once in a while I?ll go out on a limb and come back with my head spinning. There are tons of pointy-headed art movies out there, I?m sure everyone?s seen one. Here?s a short list of recent one?s I?ve seen and they remind me why I?ve never tried learning French.

This is what happens when you stray too far? It would be too easy for me to spout off how much I hated The Punisher and everyone involved in this steaming pile. Poorly made 80s action movie. Flat characters. Bad acting. Terrible one-liners.

A first look at Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks' summer dramedy, The Terminal, hit the web last night. ?Packed with Spielberg essentials, a great cast and interesting story, the Terminal should be decent. ?Check it.

Screenwriter Erin Kruger's new tale has investigative reporter Rachel Keller and her young boy Aidan relocating from Seattle to the quaint mountain town of Asheville, Oregon where she's landed a job at the local Asheville Gazette. Among her colleagues there is Max Rourke, the film's thirtysomething male lead (a la Martin Henderson in the first film). ? Beware, this review is chocked full of small Spoilers.

Netflix has thousands of films to rent. I try to squeeze in as many films as I can since I pay a monthly fee. I skip the junk you can rent at Blockbuster and go straight to the sublime, irreverent and just plain weird you can?t find anywhere else. Consider me your trash man and treasure hunter as we experiment with movies we never knew existed.

Nearly four years ago DT was thrilled to report David Hasselhoff's plans to adapt the 1980s television series Knight Rider for the big screen. Now the original Michael Knight is talking again. The big-screen version will see Knight's son take over the baddie baiting business. While Hasselhoff will be producing and starring in the flick, he won't be taking the lead role.

Mel Gibson's The Passion Of The Christ rose to the top of the box office across North America with a $17 million Easter weekend gross, while most of the five new releases, including the immensely forgettable war drama The Alamo, had to bite the dust.

Ok, it's late and I'm tired, so I'll skimp on the fancy talk and lay it out straight. This is not a perfect movie - at least, not the first time around - though Tarantino fans (and movie geeks) will definitely get their kicks.

It looks a little clunky, but I have faith in this film. ?Maybe this is another one of Batguys cars, not the real-mobile, but the bat-hummer or something. ?Dig it. ?Straight from the Begins official site.
