SUPERMAN RETURNS Shot On Digital Hybrid Cameras!

Next summer's Superman Returns is being shot on a new kinf of camera, the result of a three year design project between Panavision and Sony. The Panavision Genesis cameras shoot on high end, high definition video but utilize the same Panavision lenses that have always been used with 35mm film cameras. The last 3 Stars Wars prequels were shot on digital using a Sony camera design for Lucas by Sony.

KING KONG Trailer To Debut On 9 Networks At The Same Damn Time!

The media conglomerate NBC Universal (Universal Pictures, NBC, Sci-Fi, USA Networks, Bravo, and others) is going to debut the first teaser for Peter Jackson's remake of KING KONG on all nine of its broadcast venues at the same time, on June 27th. ?Two days later, the teaser premieres on screen in front of prints of War of the Worlds.

1st Night Of BATMAN BEGINS Pulls in $15 Million!

Batman Box OfficeIt's not as impressive as Revenge of the Sith's first day (50 million), but is already out performing its expectations, but Batman Begins brought in $15 million in ticket sales last night. Reviews have been strong and should add to a solid weekend for director Chris Nolan's franchise reinvention. ?If the film does well, Nolan will come back for Part II so go see it damnit!

Bunches of BATMAN BEGINS, BEWITCHED Film Clips!

The release of multiple clips from both Batman Begins and Bewitched remake mean the near end of the 4-5 month long ad campaigns for each film. ?Lets all let out a genuine sigh of relief, no more new trailers and TV spots. ?We're finished (probably not, but we're damn close) with these two films and I think we can all agree, Batman Begins looks damn good and Bewitched will most likely fall far short.

HALO Movie Deal Almost Complete!

Halo Movie!In addition to prompting a bunch of people to go buy an Xbox, the first Halo also made a tremendous amount of money ($125 million on its day of release) making a big screen adaptation inevitable. Now, Universal, Fox and Microsoft are working out a deal to put screenwriter Alex Garland's (The Beach, 28 Days Later) script on film sometime this year. The deal will reportedly have Microsoft retaining rights to the script throughout filming (no changes unless they so ok).
