TRAILERS: Thriller STAY And Tony Scott's DOMINO! Marc Forster (dir. Monster's Ball, Finding Neverland) does solid work. His next, Stay, starring Ewan McGregor and Naomi Watts looks like a trippy David Fincher thriller (but with a decent plot). Have No Fear UNDERDOG To Be Live-Action Flick! That wacky, whiney flappy-eared dog from the 60's and 70's cartoon is going to be a feature-length film (a mix of CGI and Live Action). ?You'd thnk this was good news, but if we told you Frederik Du Chau (Racing Stripes) is directing and Disney is producing would you still think so? STAR WARS EPISODE III: BACKSTROKE OF THE WEST The blogger over at Winterson.com picked up a bootleg of "Sith" that came with a special bonus feature: "a direct english translation of the chinese interpretation of what the script was saying." When the line "This is where the fun begins" becomes "Game time started" it just gets better from there ("They're all over me!" turns to "He is in my behind"). SNEAK REVIEW: Steve Carell's 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN! Aintitcool has gotten a few sneaks at Steve Carell's (Anchorman, Daily Show) damn funny looking 40 Year Old Virgin. ?So far, the reviews are strong and the R-Rating is even stronger (which is rare these days). ABC News Anchor PETER JENNINGS Has Died Peter Jennings, a Canadian high school dropout and arguably the most openly honest of the mainstream network news anchors, passed away on Sunday from complications of lung cancer. Stupid People Rule Weekend, DUKES Makes $30 Million Yes. If you saw dumb people this weekend, there's a good chance you saw them at the local multiplex. The Dukes of Hazzard movie earned around $30m and won the weekend battle. Wedding Crashers (more dumb, but less stupid) remained strong coming in second. Pot-Dealing Sitcom WEEDS, Strong New Show This Sunday, The Showtime cable network premieres its hip sitcom, Weeds. The Hollywood Reporter writes, "Over and over again, creator/writer/exec producer Jenji Kohan tells us that it's the so-called normal folks who are nuts and it's the people who seem twisted that really have their heads on straight." ?Weeds stars Mary-Louise Parker as an upper class scoccer mom, dealing to pay the bills after her husband dies. Darren Aronofsky's THE FOUNTAIN Site Online! Don't get too excited Aronofsky freaks, at the moment all the site is, is an ocillating, psychedelic wash of colors that slowly changes while music loops endlessly.
