David Wildman, of Boston's Weekly Dig, thinks Bubble is freaky good. Wildman writes, "Though it might not seem like it at first, this movie is a staggering achievement...This film is as beautifully rendered as any mainstream production. Director Steven Soderbergh has chosen artful camera angles, coaxed good performances out of the cast (at times, even getting them to intentionally run over each other?s lines), and employed a script that is genius in its subtlety. It honestly looks like we are just tagging along while they?re making this shit up." Click over for the rest.

Apple has posted the first teaser for this remake/reinvention of the classically bad Omen flicks from the late seventies. ?The flick is about a devilish kid who buys into his sad angry side. ?Oddly enough, this movie has a solid cast; Liev Schreiber, Julia Stiles, Mia Farrow, and David Thewlis, and was directed by John Moore (not so impressive, directed Behind Enemy Lines).

So far, sounds like the guy either overdosed, committed suicide, or died of "natural" causes. ?Chris is the brother of Sean (actor) and Michael (musician) Penn and has been in a number of memorable movies, most notebly, Resevoir Dogs and Footloose. ?He was 40 years old and was set to attend an opening of his newest movie, The Darwin Awards, at the Sundance Film fest later this week. ? Let's hope the way in which he died doesn't qualify him for a real life Darwin Award.

They each have had hits (WB's Smallville, Girlmore Girls, Supernatural, Buffy; UPN's Veronica Mars and Top Model), but without the all-day, all-night programming capability like the big three have, the WB and UPN couldn't generate enough mojo to consistently float on into the future. So the two networks have announced they're becoming one. ?Enter, the CW (C for CBS because Viacom owns Paramount and CBS and they like CBS better I guess, and W for Warner Bros). ? The CW looks to debut this fall with combined programming from both of the old networks.

A somewhat detailed full review has appeared online over at the king of sneak's, Aintitcool. ?Be very weary of spoilers, but not major ones. ?Above all, this reviewer is majorly disappointed with the story and at a loss for why director Bret Ratner abonded whatever set-ups Bryan Singer has built during X1 and X2. Speaking of dead horses, MTV News recently asked George Lucas about their progress on Indiana Jones 4. He muttered something about 2007 being the year this old franchise will hit theaters. So far, the project has had 4 or 5 writers and may or may not have some king of dated, sci-fi vibe.

Geroge Lucas, Kevin Smith, and now Sharon Stone; what do all these celebrated peeps have in common? ?They all share a knack for being one-hit wonders who hit up the one role or project that made them famous when their careers cease to progress past the celebrity generated by the thing that made them famous (that they're now making a sequel to). ?Case in point, Basic Instinct 2 (opening next summer). ?Bet we get a sequel to that crotch shot too. ?
