SNEAK REVIEW: Farrell And Foxx's MIAMI VICE Harry Knowles and his peeps over at Aintitcool received a sneaker's peak at Michael Mann's (Collateral, The Insider, Heat) film adaptation of Miami Vice starring Colin Farrell and hollywood's new slut, Jamie Foxx. ?The reviewer wasn't happy with the test screening (lasted over 3 hours) and says the pic has problems. ?Michael Mann created the series back in the eighties. Spielberg Has AMERICAN FILM IDOL Show At FOX Apparently Steven Spielberg loves American Idol. ?Now he and Mark Burnett (Prod. Survivor, Apprentice) have put together an American Idol-like show (called, On The Lot) for filmmakers at Fox and a pilot is already scheduled to shoot. ?The model for the show is more like American Idol and less like Project Greenlight (contestants are pitted against each other each week and are voted on by the public). ?The prize; a meeting with Stevie and a first-look deal at Dreamworks. SIMPSONS' MOVIE Teaser TRAILER Online! UPDATED WITH SCRIPT DETAILS!! After a buttload of rumors appeared online this weekend, the Hollywood Reporter confirmed that a small teaser trailer for the first (and long awaited) Simpson's movie is appearing in front of some prints of Fox's animated CGI dud (and huge hit), Ice Age 2. ?Fox debuted then ran the teaser during the Simpsons on Sunday. ICE AGE 2 Destroys Box Office, Sharon Stone! Poor Sharon Stone. Poor freaky-looking, botoxified Sharon Stone's body. Her last ditch chance at her favorite dead horse (see also Basic Instinct 2) opened over the weekend and man did it bomb. Of the top ten flicks, BI2 came in...10th (actually, it tied for 10th). Some SUPERMAN RETURNS Scenes Will Be In IMAX 3D?! So, in an attempt to destroy all who attempt to open a film on the same weekend as Superman Returns (June 6th), Warner Bros has decided to up the stakes. Already scheduled to open in a number of Imax theatres on opening day, it was recently announced that those Imax prints are now going to have certain scenes in 3D. 1st SPIDER-MAN 3 Image In BLACK SUIT Online! ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Creator Quits! All's Lost! It's a weird thing whe a show that no longer airs is being held hostage by the network (Fox) that has decided to no longer air it. ?Fox has been dragging it's feet to release Arrested Development and allow it to be picked up by another net (Showtime). ?In the meantime, Mitch Hurwitz has be debating whether to continue on with the show. ?Now he's made up his mind. OCEAN'S 13 Starts Shooting This Summer Supposedly sparked by another idea that struck director Steven Soderbergh, Ocean's 13 is on. The entire cast is rumored to be coming back for another go-round and shooting is scheduled to begin in July on soundstages in Hollywood (versus all over Europe for Ocean's 12). 911 Flick Becomes UNITED 93, Has New Full TRAILER  A few monhs ago it was titled Flight 93, then Lifetime or another soft-serve network like that aired a tele-movie with the same title. Flight 93 is now United 93.
