Here it is. ?The first look at Jack Black and Kyle Glass' baby's mama. ?And by that we mean, the small skit that gave birth to their careers in entertaiment and celebrity. ?Hopefully, it's damn funny. ?We here at the D have no idea, though, because the fucks at MTV Overdrive hate the mac. ? Borat, the wack character created by Sacha Baron Cohen (Talledega Nights, Ali G) has a new trailer. ?It looks identical to the mock documentary-style of the skit that appeared on the Ali G show. ? Click on for the new trailer

Dig this change in marketing. ?What was first presented with a lighter tone, is now "the most controversial film..." ?It still looks good to us. Here's hoping the decent-but-lame reviews from Cannes '06 are bullshit. ?FFN is directed by the talented Richard Linklater (Scanner Darkly, School of Rock, Before Sunset). ? Check it, click over.

Man of the Year is director Barry Levinson's new attempt at showing the ass of American politics (see Wag the Dog). ?He reveals the butt here by having a Jon Stewart-type fake news comedian (Robin Williams) run for president and win. ?If only. This could be good. Hopefully it's not too Robin Williams-schticky. ? Check it...

Turns out the last rumor we posted here was the real deal. ?Today, Warner Bros announced that the Dark Knight will be the title of the 2nd, re-envisioned batflick from ass kick director Chris Nolan. ?Nolan, his brother Jonathan, and David Goyer will be responsible for the story and script, and Bale, of course, is returning (as is Michael Caine). ?Oh yeah, and the Joker is indeed... click over...

Living legend, but crap filmmaker of late, Marty Scorsese (Aviator, Kundun, Mean Streets, Taxi Driver), seems to be going through a bad stint of repeating himself (ala Woody Allen). Let's hope this pic about gangs, crime, men, and family is better than the last (Gangs of NY). This one stars all the famous stocky white guys (Marky Mark, Matt Damon, DiCaprio, Nicholson). ? We're guessing with the recent success of POTC 2: DMC, studios are marching their future sequels out into the open for press and fans to buzz on (thus, this story and the two before it). ?Maybe there's just a lack of truly interesting geek news out there. ?Alas, bask in the glow that radiates from the knowledge of what's going to happen in Rambo 4: Franchise Dead After Part Two. ? 28 Days Later was a decent, if not great zombie flick. ?It reignited the micro-genre, was actually scary-ish, and was well made and thought out (by director Danny Boyle, writer Alex Garland). ?Why not leave it at that? ?Success, then let's move on. ?Nope. ?Here comes the sequel with none of the original cast and new filmmakers. ?Great idea (see also, Blair Witch 2). ? Justin Long (Mac in the new apple ads, Dodgeball, Jeepers Creepers, Galaxy Quest) is rumored to be all but signed on to play either the Bruce's son or a nerdy computer hacker in Die Hard 4. ?The sequel is being directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld 1, 2) and smells bad if you ask us. ? Brian De Palma (Blow Out, Untouchables, Carrie, Scarface, Carlito's Way, Femme Fatale) ?is a nutty film director from the old school. ?He's known for constantly remaking the same damn femme fatale flick over and over, for highly stylized camera and editing tricks, and for always finding a way to include a lesbian sex scene (in this case, involving Hilary Swank) in many of his films. ?Black Dahlia looks to have all the hallmarks of classic De Palma. ?It stars Josh Hartnett, Scarlett Johansson, Hilary Swank, and Mia Kirshner and opens this September. Over the weekend, Sony strutted out it's prized posession to a huge crowd of eager geeks and discussed what they could about the third film without giving much away. The whole cast was there (Maguire, Dunst, Church, Grace), Raimi was there, not a lot was devulged but hints were made. Total hintage, people. FOOTAGE LINK ADDED!

There is something crappy about this flick that we can't quite look past. ?Maybe it's the dark look, the Daredevil-like dark look, and maybe that's because Mark Steven Johnson is at the helm and he think's that works. ?Spider-Man works. ?Daredevil didn't. ? Dig the comic con panel clips afterwards, Cage looks fucking freaky.
