BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Prequel Series CAPRICA?! In an article about the growing success of the geek crossover (attracting more than just geeks) series, work on a BSG prequel series is mentioned as being in development and poised to debut sometime next year. ?The series will be called "Caprica" and will take place sometime before the attacks depicted in the current series. 28 Days Later Sequel, 28 WEEKS LATER Footage It supposedly has a script somewhat written by or approved by the original's creators, Alex Garland (wr) and Danny Boyle (dir), 28 Weeks Later is almost finished with principal photography. MEET THE ROBINSONS Pics, Poster, Teaser Disney's non-Pixar, CGI animted "Meet the Robinsons" doesn't look half bad. Alicia Keys' Crazy SMOKIN' ACES Has New TRAILER! Smokin' Aces is a new film from Cruise-shafted director Joe Carnahan. Carnahan was fired from MI:3 during preproduction, (the flick was shelved, then wiz kid J.J. Abrams was brought in a year later). Anywho, here's Carnahan's first project since his interesting debut (Narc). Looks like Pulp Fiction on speed. Aces stars a whole lotta people (Alicia Keys, Jeremy Piven, more). FOX, UNIVERSAL Drop HALO Movie Project! Fox and Universal pictures, who had been partnering on the Halo film "adaptation," abruptly pulled their funding from the project. Executive producer Peter Jackson's peeps claim the studios wanted him, Miscrosoft, and the game producers to lower their cuts due to a fat $145m budget.
